Our story
Sellar Engineering was established in 2004 and is a family-run business based in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. From the start we've focused on good, honest work, a personal service and taking pride in every job that leaves the workshop.
Today we handle the whole job in-house, from your drawing or DXF file to the finished part. That covers fibre laser cutting, bending on our two press brakes (including our new 200 tonne, 3,100 mm Morgan Rushworth CNC), plate rolling and corrugations, and fabrication and welding in carbon steel, stainless and aluminium.
We work for customers in renewables, oil and gas, food and agriculture, and we're ISO 9001 certified. Keeping everything under one roof means fewer hand-offs and a quick turnaround, and you deal with people who know your job.
- Fibre laser cutting up to 25 mm steel, 15 mm stainless and 10 mm aluminium
- Two press brakes, 250 t and 200 t, including a Morgan Rushworth PBXS CNC press brake
- Plate rolling, plus corrugated sheets up to 4 mm thick and 3 m long
- Work for renewables, oil and gas, food and agriculture

Investing in the workshop
New Sterling band saw
In October 2026 we installed a new Sterling SBA 320 DGSA band saw with a roller-conveyor infeed, speeding up cutting of bar, tube and sections in-house.

We've had a new 200 tonne CNC press brake from Morgan Rushworth delivered and installed in our Huntly workshop. With a 3,100 mm bed, it adds bending capacity for longer and heavier parts.
